American Red Cross - Operates an emergency shelter for families and individuals in Ithaca as well as the Friendship Center which is open daily to assist people with hot meals, job searches, and housing searches.

Ithaca Board of Realtors - A good place for house-hunters to begin.

Ithaca Neighborhood Housing Services - INHS is a Neighborhood Preservation Company with a strong of history of providing many of the same affordable housing services as Better Housing, with a focus on the City of Ithaca.

Linderman Creek Apartments - : In partnership with Better Housing for Tompkins County, Inc, Linderman Creek is a brand new community located in the idyllic vicinity of the Cayuga Lake. Statewide:

USDA Rural Development - "Committed to the Future of Rural Communities"; offering subsidized-affordable Housing mortgages for 1st time homebuyers, often leveraged with other funding sources such as Better Housing.  Rural Development also has low-interest loans and grants for repairs for income-qualified homeowners.

NY State Division of Housing and Community Renewal - The State's agency for promoting affordable housing and community development in New York State. Visit this site for more information on the kinds of programs the state funds.

NY State Rural Housing Coalition - Better Housing is also a member of this statewide coalition that provides valuable guidance, training, resources and legislative assistance to Rural Preservation Companies throughout New York.

State of New York Mortgage Agency (SONYMA) - SONYMA is a state agency that is dedicated to creating homeownership opportunities for New Yorkers with low to moderate-incomes. They offer affordable mortgage financing through a network of 80 participating lenders for the purchase of newly constructed and existing homes, homes in need of renovation, and even for co-ops and condos.

Group Workcamps Foundation - Better Housing is bringing this amazing community project to Tompkins County. Through extraordinary team effort and philanthropic spirit, hundreds of high school students and adult volunteers repair homes to better the living conditions of lower-income, senior and disabled people around the country.
